Diane & Paul
The wedding stationary for Diane & Paul included an invitation, response card, website insert, envelope with patterned lining, dining menu chalkboard, and a hand bound ceremony program booklet. I hand screen printed the invitations and rsvp, so that each is a piece of art for the invited guests to enjoy. I had custom rubber stamps created for the website insert and return address to help save on costs. I did embossed hand calligraphy on the envelopes and printed a special pattern to line the envelopes. I also made a custom wax seal stamp by burning a design on a wooden dowel.
A bit about designing the cards: Diane and Paul are a fun, quirky, and loving couple, so I wanted to create something to perfectly reflect their personalities. Having a Latin themed wedding in mind (since both Diane and Paul have Latin blood), Diane brought up the idea of papel picado, a Mexican folk art of intricate hand-cut paper banners. I asked Diane and Paul about the setting for the ceremony and came up with the idea to have a little scene take place on the invitation, in a rose garden between two redwoods, just like the ceremony at Diane’s family home. I even included Diane and Paul’s dog, Bee.
